Get your limited-edition gift today. – Alzheimer’s Association

To thank you for your loyal support of the Alzheimer’s Association this summer, we have aspecial gift for you.
When you make a generous donation today to help us in our fight against Alzheimer’s disease, we’ll send you our limited-edition foldable tote bag. It’s perfect for summertime walks in the park or trips to the beach with family and friends.

Your support today is especially important because one in three seniors will die with Alzheimer’s or another dementia, and these drastic numbers continue to grow at an alarming rate. But with your support, we can fight this devastating disease by accelerating cutting-edge research and providing care and support to all those affected.
Please give today to receive this special summertime foldable tote bag — and to show your support for our mission to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Americans living with Alzheimer’s

Americans living with Alzheimer’s

In 2013, I joined the ranks of the over 5 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease. While the diagnosis is devastating and I don’t know when my mind will fade away forever, my wife Jean and I try to enjoy each day. And we walk.
We walk to be a voice for those who are unable to be one for themselves. We walk to honor the lives that have been prematurely taken. We walk because the costs of dementia are catastrophic by every measure. And we walk because we don’t want future generations to have to face this disease.
By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, we’re committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Please join us in continuing this fight.
With gratitude,
Dan W.

Alzheimer’s Association license plates are coming to Illinois. This is a incredible opportunity to raise funds as well as the profile of this critical cause and, in turn, mobilize our leaders in government and citizens to prioritize Alzheimer’s.

Funds generated by orders of the license plates aid the Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter Network in its mission to provide care, support, education and awareness programs throughout the state. After the initial year, $23 of the annual $25 renewal fee goes directly to the Alzheimer’s Association.

About 200,000 Americans have younger-onset Alzheimer’s disease

Legendary basketball coach Pat Summitt died with younger-onset Alzheimer’s disease last week at age 64. Many people with younger-onset are in their 40s and 50s; they have families or careers and are sometimes caregivers themselves when they develop Alzheimer’s.
