Sara Allen Abbott and her sister, Kate Allen Stukenberg, are brunettes born and bred in Texas. Their love of football is geographically influenced but also a family affair. In 2005, Sara and Kate’s dad was diagnosed with younger-onset Alzheimer’s disease at 63. Sara approached the Alzheimer’s Association with the idea of tackling Alzheimer’s on the football field with all female players. A winning event, Blondes vs. BrunettesĀ®, was born.
