Samuel L. Jackson shares family’s struggle with Alzheimer’s disease
Actor Samuel L. Jackson has every reason to take Alzheimer’s personally: His mother, a grandfather, an uncle and an aunt had Alzheimer’s. In 2012, Jackson decided to get involved with the Alzheimer’s disease cause, partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association to raise awareness and coming up with creative ideas to raise money. He recently spent time with Harry Johns, Alzheimer’s Association president and CEO, and Maria Carrillo, vice president of medical and scientific relations, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
