Former NFL coach Schottenheimer battling Alzheimer’s disease

Marty Schottenheimer, who spent 21 seasons as an NFL head coach, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease five years ago and is currently undergoing treatment, his family said. Schottenheimer coached the Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Redskins and San Diego Chargers, ending his career after the 2006 season.
