Choir of people with Alzheimer’s sings tunes from memory
Once a week in Minneapolis, about 30 people with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia rehearse side by side with their caregivers in the Giving Voice Chorus. People who enter the practice room who have difficulty holding a thought, or even speaking, suddenly remember songs by the Beatles and Rodgers and Hammerstein.
