Study finds that education may help reduce the risk of dementia

The risk of developing dementia may be decreasing for heart-healthy people with at least a high school education, according to a new study in The New England Journal of Medicine. The research findings suggest that among residents of one town in Massachusetts, a reduction of new cases of dementia seen over three decades may be associated with higher levels of education and improvements in reducing heart health risk factors. However, this study only shows correlation, not cause and effect. The researchers also saw a trend of fewer cases of Alzheimer’s disease, but this finding wasn’t statistically significant.

Alzheimer’s Donation Program

Alzheimer’s is a debilitating disease that affects more than 5 million Americans. My name is Keegan Bonebrake and I am writing to tell you about our partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association. You may have heard of Everywhere Wireless during your travels through Chicago as we provide free Wi-Fi to the Chicago beaches, along with servicing thousands of residential customers, along with businesses such as Google, CBS, Nike and Cisco. Now, Everywhere Wireless has joined forces with the Alzheimer’s Association to bring further awareness to this tragic disease. Like so many, I too have been touched by this disease as 3 of my 4 grandparents were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, 2 of which passed earlier this year.

“We greatly appreciate Everywhere Wireless’ support and we would further appreciate support from all of Everywhere Wireless’ existing and future customers in the Chicagoland area. Let’s make this $50,000 raise happen!”– Steve Schapiro, Vice President, Corporate Engagement, Alzheimer’s Association, Greater IL Chapter.

As Everywhere Wireless continues to grow its network in Chicago, we are offering an incentive to business and residential customers to help us extend our network, at $0 cost to you. In addition to having better access to Internet connectivity, Everywhere Wireless will donate $250 to benefit Alzheimer’s research, care, and support for every building that connects to our network from October 1, 2015 to February 29, 2016. Our goal is to raise $50,000 and we’d appreciate your support!

Go ahead, connect today.

Together, we can take real steps towards ending Alzheimer’s disease.

Together, we can take real steps towards ending Alzheimer’s disease.

Today, there are more than 5 million people in the United States living with Alzheimer’s. And for all these people, there are countless family members, friends, coworkers and neighbors left heartbroken by the devastating effects of this cruel and fatal disease.
We need your support in 2016.

That’s why it’s so important that we stand together in the fight against Alzheimer’s. With you by our side again in 2016, we can continue funding the best and brightest researchers who are working tirelessly to advance science toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.
Just as important, we’re dedicated to providing critical local care and support services to families impacted by Alzheimer’s, too — but we need your help.
You want to make a difference. You want to help find a cure. You want to help others who are impacted by this disease. We do, too. Today, reaffirm your commitment to the fight by making a contribution in honor of those affected by Alzheimer’s.
What better way is there to pay tribute to their courage in the face of this devastating disease?
Please continue your support of the Alzheimer’s Association today with a generous gift.Your donation is urgently needed and will help us get one step closer to our vision: A world without Alzheimer’s disease
Thank you,
